Psychologist
A psychologist specializes in understanding human behavior and mental processes. They assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions through psychotherapy and other therapeutic techniques.
Medical Doctor (MD)
A licensed physician who has completed medical school and specialized training, capable of diagnosing and treating various medical and mental health conditions. MDs can also prescribe medications when necessary.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
An advanced practice registered nurse with expertise in mental health care. PMHNPs assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders, provide therapy, and prescribe medication.
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist – Associate (LCAS-A)
A professional specializing in supporting individuals with substance use disorders through counseling, therapy, and recovery guidance.
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS)
An experienced addiction specialist licensed to provide therapy, counseling, and support for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHA)
A mental health professional who provides therapy and counseling under supervision, helping individuals navigate emotional and psychological challenges.
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
A fully licensed counselor qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions through psychotherapy and other evidence-based approaches.
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
A mental health professional with specialized education and experience in providing counseling, advocacy, and emotional support. Requires a four-year degree with mental health experience.
Associate Mental Health Professional (AP)
A professional assisting in mental health care, supporting patients with emotional and psychological needs. Requires a four-year degree and a minimum of two years of experience working with the population.
Paraprofessional Mental Health Professional (PP)
A paraprofessional providing direct support, peer guidance, and advocacy for individuals with mental health needs. A high school diploma is required.
Peer Support Specialist (PSS)
A professional with lived experience in mental health or substance use recovery, offering encouragement and mentorship to others facing similar challenges.
Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
